Artist Precedent: Henri Cartier Bresson

I love the way the stair case in this image is static, timeless, while the slight blurring of the bike in the background shows how fleeting that person's presence is in this space. I like the contrast/juxtaposition between the solidarity of the scenery and the man passing through it.

Initial exploration shoot

This photo shoot produced some interesting photos, however the camera I have access to does not allow for the ISO to be low enought to capture the blured image I am wishing to. I like the idea of the scenery solid and unmoving, with a person rushing through it - they are so caught up in their own world and activities, and time is simply passing the wider context by.

Proposition?

I am interested in the concept of how time will continue to carry on around an object which will (all going according to plan) stand the test of time and never move. This contrast creates a nice relationship between day to day life and the context in which we live it, examining these two different ways of 'passing time'.
